Would you like to practice yoga in a stunning tropical garden close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Panama, Playa Las Lajas? We welcome you to our unique Shaya Yoga Retreat Center.
A PLACE TO BE
We are Chantal and Jana, partners in this venture, who finally realized our long-standing dream in October 2022 and founded Shaya Yoga Retreat Center together. Shaya Yoga is part of the renowned Boutique Hotel Naturalmente in beautiful Las Lajas, Chiriquí, Panama. Our heart's desire is to create a space where people can meet, relax and connect with their bodies, minds and emotions. Shaya Yoga is a place where the stress of everyday life falls away and you can recharge your batteries. We attach great importance to mindfulness and the art of paying attention to the here and now. To meet this challenge, we practice yoga, mindful meditation, and offer various workshops for self-awareness. We work in a trauma-sensitive manner, at eye level, and aim to be transparent with regard to the methods we use. In addition to our body-centered activities, we invite you to let your senses wander in our peaceful tropical garden and be pampered by our culinary delights. Believing that self-love goes through your stomach, Chantal and Giorgio cook Ayurvedic vegetarian recipes with love to keep your doshas (Ayurvedic body types) in balance and give you an insight into Ayurvedic cuisine.
IN LOVE WITH AYURVEDA
Ayurveda, an ancient medicine dating back more than 5000 years, sees nutrition as a key factor for health. The aim of Ayurvedic cuisine is to detoxify the body and activate its self-healing powers. It is a holistic form of nutrition. This means we not only nourish our body, but also our mind and soul. For this we need food that has enough vital substances and minerals and above all, that tastes good, gives us pleasure, and is prepared with love. Ayurvedic cuisine places great value on digestion. That's why we mainly serve cooked, not raw foods. We also attach great importance to the quality and freshness of our food. Spices such as ginger, chili, turmeric and cumin, which are said to have a positive effect on the immune system and digestion, play an integral part in Ayurvedic cuisine. We look forward to enjoying this culinary journey together with you.

Powerful and Regenerative Retreat - Beautiful
I was looking to reconnect with my body, mind, and spirit with like-minded others.
The location was very convenient, only 1.5 hour drive distance. Plus, I love that Shiatsu and Ayurveda were combined.
I usually don't do a full hour of yoga. It is so much easier to accomplish that in a group. I'm still feeling so relaxed and peaceful the week after returning home.
Plus, the setting is absolutely beautiful.
The owners of the Retreat center (Chantal & Giorgio) were so loving, kind and generous. They took great care of every delicious meal.
